This tour offers a unique opportunity to immerse yourself in the cultural and natural heritage of the Philippines, explore the famous Banaue Rice Terraces and enjoy the beauty of one of the region’s picturesque waterfalls.
The tour begins with a morning pick-up from your hotel to the rugged rice terraces that line the mountainsides and are considered the “eighth wonder of the world.” These terraces were created by the Ifugao people over 2,000 years ago and continue to be used by the locals to grow rice today.
First stop: We will stop at a viewpoint with a breathtaking view of the terraces, where you can take photos and enjoy the endless green fields skillfully laid out in every corner of the valley. The guide will tell you about the culture and traditions of the Ifugao people, as well as the farming methods of this unique region.
Terrace Walk: We will then go on a walking tour of the terraces. You will have the opportunity to see how the locals work in the fields and learn about traditional rice farming methods. Our guide will share stories about life in the area and how the terraces were built and continue to be maintained.
After an eventful walk through the rice terraces, we will head to one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the region, Tappiya Falls. Along the way, you will be able to enjoy the picturesque scenery.
Upon arrival: Tappiya Falls is surrounded by tropical vegetation and the sound of its water creates a peaceful atmosphere. Here you will be able to take many bright photos and enjoy swimming in the cool water under the waterfall (if possible and desired).
Lunch: After relaxing at the waterfall, we will have a picnic or lunch at a local restaurant with traditional dishes so you can taste the cuisines of Ifugao and other Philippine regions.
Tour conclusion:
At the end of our tour, we will return back, where we will discuss our impressions of the trip. After an exciting day full of new discoveries and impressions, you will be full of inspiration and a desire to share what you saw with your loved ones.
