Just a massive rollercoaster of emotions—excitement, fear, tears, tenderness, panic—and all in a single day!
Guys, it was 16 hours! Probably one of the longest excursions in my memory, but you know what? It flew by in the blink of an eye! Huge thanks to our guide, Mikhail.
First of all, for the quick response. It’s unusual for us, but we happened to arrive in Cebu without a plan, deciding to figure it out on the spot. Hotel excursions didn’t work out, so I went to Insta to look for a guide. And what a miracle! An instant reply to my request. We sketched out an itinerary based on our wishes, and by 4 AM the next morning, Mikhail was already waiting for us at the hotel gates. Second, for the tour organization. The route was very well thought out. We made it everywhere and saw everyone 😅 We didn’t stand in any queues—everything was arranged in advance. At every location, he offered help with filming, and at the end of the day, when our action camera battery died, he kindly provided his own.
And perhaps the most important thing.
Impressions of a place largely depend on the person showing it to you. He infected us with his love for the Philippines! At every free moment, he told us about local culture, daily life, and interesting, funny stories from his island life.
This turned out to be quite a long review post, but I know from experience that someone out there will definitely need a good guide in the Philippines. So, if anything, save this contact. And say hi to him for me! 😅
